Approach

We conducted co-design research to discover what users would expect to find in the Merchant homepage, followed by a moderated usability testing on the key screens of the merchant signup flow to uncover UX-related issues, as well as possible triggers that could prompt users to sign up for a merchant account. Focus group interviews were also conducted to help understand existing Chinese merchants' pain points in using PayPal.
